The future of West Brom remains murky before the next season 2019/20, after Aston Villa abandoned them from the play-offs last week.
The Baggies have not yet appointed a new permanent manager after they fired Darren Moore in February, after a bad run of form saw them abandon the race to get the automatic promotion.
Since they, Jimmy Shan has taken over the reigns in West Brom, and although he has done a good job, he does not seem to be in the race for the permanent position.
Many names have been flying with Chris Hughton, Danny Cowley and the head of Northern Ireland, Michael O'Neill, three of the most recent.
And the Sun put another name in dispute with Lee Bowyer of Charlton, apparently also attracting the attention of the Baggies.
Bowyer has done wonders in the Valley and here they are THREE reasons why you should secure him as your next boss.
Charlton is far from the easiest environment for a manager to operate. In fact, given the problems outside the field, it could be the most difficult job.
So, for Bowyer to be sidelined for enough games to get to the play-off final with everything going on around him, he points to a really good motivator and that's something the Hawthorn have been missing for a while. .
With his recent success, it's easy to forget that Bowyer is still relatively new to the administration game.
Putting it into action now could be an excellent long-term solution for West Brom in a period that has seen a rapid turnaround of managers.
At Charlton, he has shown that he is able to carry out and improve the exciting products of the club's academy.
It is true that he has done more out of necessity in the Valley because of the owner's reluctance to spend cash, but it is still a promising sign.
The likes of Rekeem Harper, Kyle Edwards and Jonathan Leko have been part of the first team this season, but they could do it with someone like Bowyer to help them reach the next level.
