Any good platform that offers games must serve its users, and Oculus understands it. That's why it now offers refunds on applications, games and experiences you buy through Oculus. There are some warnings about what you may have reimbursed, which we will examine here, as well as exactly how you can request a refund.

You may return applications, games and many Rift experiences acquired through Oculus for any reason, provided you submit your request within fourteen days of purchase and have committed to the content for no longer than two hours.

This is quite standard; If you have been playing the game for, say, six hours, before suddenly recovering your money, you will have difficulty getting it. This is designed as a way to quickly test a game to see if it can run on your system or to see if it's really what the developer promised.

Oculus has some notes about what kind of content is not eligible for a refund. The Refund Policy again states that they do not offer refunds on the following items:

  • Films
  • Any content purchased as a package
  • DLC and in-app purchases
  • Content created outside the Oculus platform.
  • Items you have already refunded, then bought again

If you wish to request a refund for a product that would otherwise be rejected by the content return system, you can always contact Oculus Customer Service to see what it can do for you.
