With the release of Star Wars Battlefront II in 2017, it is now considered an "old" game by today's standards. While that may be the case for some, the game's player base will be glad to know that EA and DICE have no intention of leaving the title aside in 2019.
On the EA web portal for the game, the 2019 Star Wars Battlefront 2 roadmap calendar for the content has already been summarized for what is to come, for January and February, at least. Keep in mind that DICE has not mentioned if what is shown is final, but what is already here is impressive.
By January, players can expect a new villain in Count Dooku to enter the race, along with the new Elite Clone Troopers. Is not sufficient? Yes, maybe February will compensate. In February, Anakin Skywalker will be presented, as well as a new game mode with the description of "Our last game mode was launched (with capture points and takedowns of capital ships)". In addition to those two, the 501st Legion (which fought alongside Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars) will make its appearance, as well as "Capital Ship Interiors", which is part of the capture game mode.
While there is a possibility that EA will stop supporting the game after February, there is a possibility that DICE will not do so. Regardless of what happens in the next few months, it's comforting to know that Star Wars Battlefront II fans have something to look forward to in 2019.
In related news, DICE released the hero Obi-Wan last month, which you can read here.
